What should nail care look like?
It takes approx. 3 minutes to read this article

Hands are our business card. In everyday life, we extremely often pay attention to how the hands of another person look like. That is why their care is so important. Today we will focus on the nails. How to take care of them? What products to use? These and other questions will be answered in the following article.

Take care of the shape of your nails

Aesthetic nails are those that have a nice shape. You can give it with a glass or paper file. File your nails dry, always in one direction – left or right. With such systematic care, your nails will not break or split.

Take care of the cuticles around the nails

To make the cuticles around the nails look aesthetically pleasing, you need to take proper care of them. It’s a good idea to regularly oil them with olive oil or a dedicated preparation. Once in a while, gently push them back with a rubber or wooden pick. You may also be tempted to cut them, but remember to do it carefully, using clean tools. Before cutting your cuticles, soak your hands in water with olive oil. This will make the cuticles softer and easier to remove.

Clean with gloves

Chemicals that we use for cleaning, unfortunately, do not have a good effect on the condition of our nails. Detergents contain in their composition strong substances that dry and irritate the skin. After you finish cleaning and remove your gloves, remember to wash your hands thoroughly and moisturize them with a cream.

Use hand cream as often as possible

Remember to moisturize your hands regularly. Use the cream as often as possible, preferably after every hand wash. Make sure the product you use every day contains UV protection. The skin on your hands is also exposed to the sun’s harmful effects.

Use nail oils and conditioners

Nail conditioners and oils, which contain vitamins and necessary chemical elements, can strengthen the nail plate, smooth and prevent breakage. Conditioner is best applied before or instead of polish. Olive, on the other hand, will work best after a manicure.

Don’t bite your nails

This bad habit can lead your nails to ruin. They will look unsightly, and worse, hard-to-heal wounds will form around them. Besides, nail biting can lead to poor dental and oral hygiene.

Home spa for nails

To take care of your nails, you don’t need a lot of specialized cosmetics. You can perform some of the steps with the help of products you have in your home.

Elixir of oil and lemon

Heat 5 tablespoons of olive oil and add the juice of half a lemon to it. Soak your hands in the solution. After the treatment, do not wipe your hands, but only massage the oil into your nails and cuticles.

Flaxseed mask

Homemade flaxseed mask will strengthen your nails and prevent them from splitting. Put one tablespoon of flaxseed in a pot and pour a glass of water over it. Boil until a substance resembling a thick gruel is formed. After the liquid cools, dip your fingers into the mask for 15 minutes. Such a treatment is worth using 3 times a week.

Vitamin treatment

To improve the condition of your nails, you can use ready-made vitamin ampoules, available at the pharmacy. Apply vitamin A and E directly to the nail plate and cuticles and rub gently.

It does not take much to enjoy healthy and beautiful nails. It is enough to systematically take care of them, providing them with the necessary nutrients.
